The firearm had a predominance among the means of aggression 41.5%, followed by 33.8% stab and blunt objects 16.9%. Body strength and poisonings had the lowest rates 1.5% and 3.1% respectively. Regarding the regions of the body, the chest proved to be the most affected region in coups 49.2%, followed by the head / face 43.1%, 35.4% abdomen, back 27.7%. Still observe a predominance of multiple lesions in 85.7% aggressions. Conclusions: The deadly violence against homosexuals has proved to be an increasingly prevalent problem reported in the media and television. However, research in this area are few. The present work was therefore help to minimize this gap since the information obtained comes from a specialized organ - Police Homophobic Crimes Specialized in - and thereby minimizes possible biases of information. It is important to specify this is information available, the first station based in homophobic crimes already configured in Brazil, located in the city of João Pessoa / PB, though any generalization from the data presented here must be done with care, since it is known that much of what is experienced by homosexuals as aggression is not even communicated to the closest people, much less instances of public power entrusted to prevent and curb the commission of violent acts.

Material e métodos: Estudo do tipo documental e retrospectivo, com abordagem indutiva e procedimento descritivo, através da observação indireta, realizado no período de maio de 2009 à julho de 2013 na Delegacia Especializada em Crimes Homofóbicos – DECCH e no Instituto de Polícia Científica ambas localizadas na cidade de João Pessoa - PB. Foram coletados todos os dados dos 315 boletins de ocorrência do período proposto e seus respectivos laudos dos exames de corpo de delito. O instrumento de coleta consistiu de um formulário específico, composto por questões dicotômicas ou de múltipla escolha. As variáveis independentes analisadas foram: ano, mês, data, sexo, idade e dia da semana. As variáveis dependentes do estudo foram: tipo de violência, os tipos de ocorrências, local da injúria, autor da agressão, quantificação das lesões, local do corpo atingido, tipo de lesão em tecido mole e ocorrência do óbito. Os dados foram pelo programa SPSS versão 18, sendo estes submetidos à análise descritiva (distribuição absoluta e percentual). Para as análises bivariadas foram empregados os testes Qui-Quadrado e Exato de Fisher, com um nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: Dos laudos analisados, a maioria das vítimas era do sexo masculino (83%), com o idade entre 19 e 38 anos 70,7% e foram classificados como pardos (66,6%), com o 2 grau incompleto (38,7%). Concernente à orientação sexual, 41,5% se identificaram como gays, 10,8% lésbicas, 9,2% travestis e 21,5% transsexuais. A maioria dos crimes ocorre a noite 38,5% e na madrugada 27,7%, revelando esses turnos como os mais propícios para tais acometimentos. Com relação ao local da ocorrência, a via pública foi o cenário com maior número de agressões 61,5%. A arma de fogo apresentou uma predominância entre os meios de agressões 41,5%, seguidos da arma branca 33,8% e objetos contundentes 16,9%. A força corporal e envenenamentos apresentaram os menores índices 1,5% e 3,1% respectivamente. No que se refere as regiões do corpo, o tórax demonstrou ser a região mais atingida nos golpes 49,2%, seguido da cabeça/face 43,1%, abdômen 35,4%, dorso 27,7%. Observa-se ainda uma predominância de lesões múltiplas nas agressões 85,7%. Conclusões: A violência letal contra homossexuais tem se revelado como um problema prevalente cada vez mais noticiado na mídia escrita e televisiva. Porém, as pesquisas nessa área são poucas. O presente trabalho visou, portanto, contribuir para minimizar essa lacuna uma vez que as informações obtidas provém de um órgão especializado - Delegacia Especializada em Crimes Homofóbicos - e desse modo minimiza possíveis vieses de informação. É importante especificar trata-se de informações disponíveis, da primeira delegacia baseada em crimes homofóbicos já configurados no Brasil, situada no município de João Pessoa/PB, entretanto qualquer generalização a partir dos dados aqui apresentados deve ser feita com cuidado, pois se sabe que grande parte do que é vivido pelos homossexuais como agressões não chega a ser comunicada às pessoas mais próximas, muito menos às instâncias do poder público, encarregadas de prevenir e coibir a realização de atos violentos.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Pública - PPGSPUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPHomosexualityViolenceAggressionSAUDE COLETIVAViolênciaAgressãoSaúde públicaHomossexiaisCaracterísticas epidemiológicos da morbimortalidade por violência em homossexuais na cidade de João Pessoa - PBIndicators of sleep disorders in adolescents: relationship to score components risk factors pathobiological Determinants of Atherosclerosis in Youthinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisPadilha, Wilton Wilney Nascimentohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8754306262756144Soares, Renata de Souza Coelhohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9587557565279282Cavalcanti, Alessandro Leitehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4751883787176824http://lattes.cnpq.br/5721439040553268Oliveira, Thaisy Sarmento Batista deinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBORIGINALPDF - Thaisy Sarmento Batista de Oliveira.pdfPDF - Thaisy Sarmento Batista de Oliveira.pdfPDF - Thaisy Sarmento Batista de Oliveiraapplication/pdf25108103https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/35ee814b-c466-4319-be72-e6d3838d3b22/downloada6631c6c0f0820b1a2ef0d8bfa4af779MD52trueAnonymousREADLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
