Resumo: | Herbaceous cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) is, among the fiber-producing crops, the most important globally. Brazil stands out on the world stage as one of the main cotton fiber producers. One of the factors that has contributed to these productivity advances is the research developed in the different cotton improvement programs in different agricultural areas in Brazil. In conducting these programs, the study of the genotype x environment interaction before the selection and recommendation of cultivars helps in the choice and indication of the best materials. The aim of this work was to indicate new cotton genotypes superior in productivity, stability and adaptability of the final strains of herbaceous cotton through the use of mixed models and non-parametric analysis for the semi-arid region. 17 genotypes were evaluated in trials conducted in the cities of Apodi-RN and Barbalha-CE in the years 2016 and 2017, totaling four environments, the experiment was conducted in a randomized block design (DBC) with four replications and consisting of 17 treatments, being 14 elite lines and 3 witnesses: FM 993, BRS 286 and BRS 336. The evaluated characteristics were: seed cotton yield, fiber yield, percentage of fibers, length and strength. An analysis of individual, joint and analysis of adaptability and stability was carried out following the proposed methodologies via mixed models REML / BLUP and Lin and Binns (1988) modified by Carneiro (1998). For the REML / BLUP methodology, the CNPA GO 2011 751, CNPA GO 2010 335, FM 993 and CNPA GO 2010 147 genotypes showed greater adaptability and productive stability. The method of Lin and Binns (1988) modified by Carneiro (1998) considered the genotypes closest to the ideal: CNPA GO 2011 751, CNPA GO 2010 147, CNPA GO 2009 195 and FM 993. The methodologies used are consistent in the selection of superior genotypes in terms of adaptability, stability and productivity; The CNPA GO 2011 751 genotype showed broad adaptability and stability and was the most productive in the tested environments. |

Para a metodologia REML/BLUP os genótipos CNPA GO 2011 751, CNPA GO 2010 335, FM 993 e CNPA GO 2010 147 apresentaram maior adaptabilidade e estabilidade produtiva. Submitted by Jean Medeiros (jeanletras@uepb.edu.br) on 2021-09-28T13:34:27Z No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Jotahy Jorge Elias.pdf: 1133102 bytes, checksum: c3368b11327e0b140231ddbe38388de5 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Rosalvo Andrade (rosalvo_andrade@servidor.uepb.edu.br) on 2021-11-12T23:11:43Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Jotahy Jorge Elias.pdf: 1133102 bytes, checksum: c3368b11327e0b140231ddbe38388de5 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-11-24T23:55:06Z (GMT).
