The growing reflection on regional development brings numerous public policy proposals, based on models that prioritize and value the regional dynamics. In this line, tourism presents itself as a possibility for stimulating regional development through the Tourism Regionalization Program - Tours of Brazil, which proposes and defines the ordering of the Brazilian territory, for the development of tourist activity. In this context, this study aims to understand how is the process carried out monitoring and evaluation of the Tourism Regionalization Program - Tours of Brazil in fate inducer João Pessoa. The approach of the study is qualitative, using documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews with representatives of local bodies and agencies, which lead the process of monitoring and evaluation of the Regionalization Program. Data analysis was performed by means of content analysis. The results point that tourism in the destination inducer João Pessoa has developed gradually. However, for lack of systematization in the module Monitoring and Evaluation Regionalization Program is not possible to say that the development achieved by the municipality and the region is the result of the actions of the Program. As a consequence of this lack of systematic data in this module also cannot evaluate the influence of the Program for regional development.
