Resumo: | The study in question has as its investigative focus the collection of poems The painful root of micondó (2012), by Conceição Lima, which has as a backdrop the islands of Saint Thomas and Prince, one of the sources of inspiration in the poetic creation of the author. Its main objective is to investigate how the ancestry is represented in poems. Therefore, we will cover also aspects like selfwriting, identity, language and memory as drivers of poetic discourse. Thus, the research will bring aspects of the ancestry evoked by the author in the text, from references to the beliefs and ancestors linked values to the dead, establishing with them, essential bondages to the strength and force of being black, dweller former colonies, expressed in the post-independence speech and highlighted in the poem of the body. The poems outline a poetic discourse that takes the reader to know plots, slaughters and dilemmas before veiled colonialism. Analytical and qualitative, this study supports bibliographic research of authors such as Le Goff (1990), Hall (2003), Glissant (2005), Mata (2006), Leite (2008), Candau (2014). others that address the same questions posed to the subject herein discussed. In this link, the author will deal from memory, the reinterpretation of belonging to the land and his own black identity in relation to their ancestors. Thus, at first, we treat the ancestry, marking as it is translated or represented in the memories of the poems in question. Subsequently, we seek to point out how the idea of collective identity is related to the santomense, to Africans and to blacks, through an immanent sense of individual identity formed by the lyric self, from recollections or memories of his childhood in relation to family and country, avoiding the particular to provide a link to the general aspects of the subject examined. Then we enter the analysis of poems, in order to identify the relevant discursive elements for textual construction of individual and collective memory, that in relation to family memories and this in relation to the historical memory, the ancestors. We emphasize, by this procedure, the amount of memory to the personal life of the lyric self, but also for the establishment of a positive and historical national identity. So the poet searches in the events of the past a means to understand and make sense to the present, and, thus, bring referrals and new prospects for the future, as a personal point of support and fortitude in relation to collectivity. |

So the poet searches in the events of the past a means to understand and make sense to the present, and, thus, bring referrals and new prospects for the future, as a personal point of support and fortitude in relation to collectivity.O estudo em questão tem como foco investigativo a coletânea de poemas A dolorosa raiz do micondó (2012), de Conceição Lima que possui como cenário as ilhas de São Tomé e Príncipe, uma das fontes de inspiração na criação poética da autora. Submitted by Ricardo Carrasco (ricardogc84@uepb.edu.br) on 2016-12-22T13:30:53Z No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Dione Ribeiro Costa.pdf: 24023917 bytes, checksum: 3e0343be0078f6b5baceabc900b36c90 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Irenilda Medeiros (nildamedeiros@uepb.edu.br) on 2016-12-22T14:18:13Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Dione Ribeiro Costa.pdf: 24023917 bytes, checksum: 3e0343be0078f6b5baceabc900b36c90 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2016-12-22T14:18:13Z (GMT).
