Resumo: In recent times, interdisciplinarity has been debated and applied in schools with the purpose of developing ways of conceiving knowledge. And teaching History means to establish interactive relationships which enable the student with knowledge and learning in the sociocultural field. Based on this assumption, this research tries to dialogue with the teaching of History and José Lins do Rego's work “Usina”, used as a documentary source, in order to enable students representations about their daily lives and the importance of teaching Local History in Elementary School of the Basic Education, starting from the following questionings: how can one build the dialogue between History and Literature? How to build the student's social and cultural identity? How to strengthen the inclusion of Local / Regional History in the teacher's lesson plan? For this purpose, its general objective is to discuss curricular practices and the inclusion of Local / Regional History teaching in the History teacher's teaching plan, in order to analyse the formation of the socio-cultural identity of Elementary School subjects - Final Years, through Regional Literature. The theoretical support is based on the contributions of Bittencourt (2009), Guimarães (2012), Pinto (2012), Pesavento (2006), Pinky (2010) Certeau (2009), Chartier (1988), Stuart Hall (2012), Bourdieu ( 1982) Passeron (1982), among others. In methodological terms, and for the accomplishment of this research in the school field, the qualitative research methodology was used; ethnography as a method of observation; action research; interviews with History teachers; and a didactic sequence, applied at Salvino João Pereira Municipal School, in the city of Juripiranga - PB, related to the teaching of Local History mediated by Literature. Besides the didactic sequence, the research had as its final product the elaboration of a Guide for History teachers. Based on the results, it was possible to verify that the study of the literary work “Usina” provided the participating students with the knowledge and importance of the sugar culture that involves our region, which is also the book setting.

E ensinar História significa estabelecer relações interativas que possibilitem ao educando conhecimentos e aprendizagens no campo sociocultural. Partindo desse pressuposto, esta pesquisa busca dialogar com o ensino de História e a obra “Usina”, de José Lins do Rego, utilizada como fonte documental, no intuito de possibilitar aos alunos representações sobre o seu cotidiano e a importância do ensino da História Local para o Ensino Fundamental da Educação Básica, partindo dos seguintes questionamentos: como construir o diálogo da História com a Literatura? Como construir a identidade social e cultural do aluno? Como fortalecer a inclusão da História Local/Regional no plano de aula do professor? Para tanto, tem como objetivo geral discutir as práticas curriculares e a inclusão do ensino de História Local/Regional no plano de ensino do professor de História, a fim de analisar a formação da identidade sociocultural dos sujeitos do Ensino Fundamental – Anos Finais através da Literatura Regional. O aporte teórico está fundamentado nas contribuições de Bittencourt (2009), Guimarães (2012), Pinto (2012), Pesavento (2006), Pinky (2010) Certeau (2009), Chartier (1988), Stuart Hall (2012), Bourdieu (1982) Passeron (1982), entre outros. Em termos metodológicos, e para a realização desta pesquisa no campo da escola, utilizou-se a metodologia da pesquisa qualitativa; a etnografia como método de observação; a pesquisa-ação; entrevistas aos professores de História; e uma sequência didática, aplicada na Escola Municipal Salvino João Pereira, na cidade de Juripiranga – PB, relacionada ao ensino de História Local mediado pela Literatura. Além da sequência didática, a pesquisa teve como produto final a elaboração de um Guia para os professores de História.
