In this work we analyze the Portuguese Language Curricular Planning of the eighth year of the Piraí city. And so, it was necessary to go through some "paths", we use the documentary study of Cellard (2008) method to embase and sustain this research in the detailing of the elements that compose the document investigated. We chose Silva (2017) as a theoretical support for the analysis in the curricular perspective, and Gandin (2007) for the planning approach as a technical expression of curriculum that we intend to offer to the students and teachers of the network. As an initial strategy, we analyze the structure of the document, like contents, objectives, skills / abilities and strategies. Is important to emphasize that we opted not only for the analysis of curricular planning, but also the way in which this interact with the textbook chosen by the municipal Piraí city, considering the influence that the textbook has on the execution of the analyzed document. Soares (1992), Bunzen (2001), Geraldi (1995) and others, brought the critical analysis of the perspective of Portuguese Language teaching present in the documents studied. Especially in the annual planning, we saw a structuralist teaching with little space for reading and writing, although the work with several "textual genres" is foreseen in the document analyzed. We also observed that the genres foreseen in the planning were not always contemplated by the textbook proposals. As a final product of this dissertation, we proposed an extension course with the Piraí city to discuss the construction of the curricular planning of the municipal network for the year 2019.
