Resumo: | This dissertation aims to investigate what role plays today psychoanalysis in psychiatric practice. The approach of psychiatry and psychoanalysis occurs in three distinct fields. First is taken in the field of history, with special attention to Freud's relationship with the Swiss doctors, Jung and Bleuler, in the early twentieth century, and the publication of DSM-III in 1980.. Emphasis is placed on these two extremes because they represents the initial contact of psychiatry and psychoanalysis at first and a paradigm shift in the rationality of psychiatric diagnosis that is akin to an epistemological break from which the psychoanalysis is rejected. Between these two extremes what is observed is a massive influence of psychoanalysis within psychiatry. We proceeded to the field of discourse, in which the presence of Michel Foucault and the theory of Jacques Lacan's four discourses will contribute to a reading of medicine / psychiatry and psychoanalysis as a discourse, as well as the possibilities of inclusion of the subject in each of these forms of speech. Finally, we make an approach to ethics, in which we propose ethics and theory of psychoanalysis as a possible regulator to psychiatry that alienates in the Other of science and capital. This proposal is placed after studying how was the process in which the body and health entered the field of market economy. We bring to the table a series of vignettes of clinical cases that serve to illustrate our statements about the role of psychoanalytic ethics and theory within the medical and psychiatric practice |

A abordagem da psiquiatria e da psicanálise se dá em três campos distintos. Primeiramente é retomada no campo da história, com especial atenção para relação de Freud com os médicos suíços, Jung e Bleuler, no inicio do século XX, e a publicação do DSM-III na década de 1980. A ênfase é colocada nestes dois extremos, pois o que se observa neles, é o contato inicial da psiquiatria com a psicanálise num primeiro momento e uma mudança de paradigma na racionalidade do diagnostico psiquiátrico que é da ordem de um corte epistemológico a partir do qual a psicanálise é rejeitada. Entre esses dois extremos o que se observa é uma influencia maciça da psicanálise dentro da psiquiatria. Partimos então para o campo do discurso, no qual a presença do pensamento de Michel Foucault e a teoria dos quatro discursos de Jacques Lacan irão contribuir para uma leitura da medicina/psiquiatria e da psicanálise enquanto discurso, bem como das possibilidades de inserção do sujeito em cada uma dessas formas de discurso. Por fim, fazemos uma abordagem no campo da ética, na qual propomos a ética e a teoria da psicanálise como um possível regulador para uma psiquiatria que se aliena diante do Outro da ciência e do capital. Essa proposta é colocada após estudarmos como se deu o processo em que o corpo e a saúde entraram no campo da economia de mercado.
