Resumo: This work deals with the malaise heard in the clinic in view of the new modalities of love engagement supported by dating apps. Our premise is that despite screen-mediated interaction implies certain inflections in the love bond, this modality of meeting does not subtract the impasses intrinsic to love. We propose to go through the concept of love in Freud and Lacan, regarding the dimension of its impasses, to reflect, through clinical excerpts, how the very dimension of incompleteness and lack inherent in the speaking being, translated by Lacan’s (1972-1973/2009) aphorism there is no sexual relationship, is updated in the field of love. Aiming to think about what can be invented from the impasses in this field, we will sustain, with Lacan’s theory of discourses (1969-1970/2016), the discourse of the analyst as the one that embraces the things of love, without leaving out the castration.

Nossa premissa é que apesar da interação mediada pelas telas implicar certas inflexões no laço amoroso, essa modalidade de encontro não subtrai os impasses próprios ao amor. Propomos percorrer o conceito do amor traçado por Freud e Lacan, no que se refere à dimensão dos seus impasses, para refletirmos, através dos recortes clínicos, como se atualizam no campo amoroso a própria dimensão da incompletude e da falta inerentes ao ser falante, traduzidas pelo aforismo a relação sexual não existe, em Lacan (1972-1973/2008).
