The thesis presents a theoretical reflection anchored in qualitative empirical research. Here we ll discuss the production of unequal power relations outside macrossocial and hierarchical systems of domination. The theoretical construction presented lies at the vertex of two different conceptual approaches in sociology: the theory of collective subjectivities and the sociology of grips. The main argument is that much of the interaction between collective subjectivities is marked by the existence of durable asymmetries between them, manifested in the way one controls, more or less partially, the way the other interprets their experiences. Working analytically on the plane of social hermeneutics, it is important, more than anything else, to understand how this process produces effects on the very conception of the self, the identity of groups that are in the underprivileged position of this relation. In order to do this, we will explore the way in which the asymmetry of grips occurs in an external/internal dynamics, that is, the influence of one over the other, operating in the way the latter perceives the world and itself with the former s lenses. This theoretical discussion will be brought to the studied case, from which we will conclude that the APF was in a situation of asymmetry of grips with War on Want, inasmuch as it was necessary to include elements of a grammar of contemporary development, initially unrelated to it, in their organizational practices.
