Resumo: The problems caused by anthropic pressure, which promotes constant degradation of the Pau-Brasil Environmental Protection Area, have been causing immeasurable damage to this natural heritage and threatening many species of birds of important ecological value. In order to bring to light the relevance of this Conservation Unit and its birdlife, promoting an alternative means for teaching ecological concepts in biology classes, a digital application was created for students and teachers to access information about local bird species. The application also has a game, with information about the ecological niche of the animals to make associations between the shape of the birds' beaks and their eating habits. This approach will make it possible to understand the influence that the birds' eating habits have on maintaining the balance of their entire environment of occurrence, allowing a more integrated view of ecological relationships, which are usually presented in a fragmented way by textbooks and by the curriculum itself school. The activities proposed in this application aim to contribute to a teaching of biology focused on biocentrism, in opposition to the anthropocentric thinking so rooted in society, being able to contemplate in addition to scientific knowledge, the environmental citizenship of the individuals involved in the teaching-learning process

Com o objetivo de trazer à luz a relevância dessa Unidade de Conservação e de sua avifauna, promovendo um meio alternativo para o ensino de conceitos ecológicos nas aulas de biologia, foi criado um aplicativo digital para acesso por alunos e professores a fim de se obter informações sobre espécies de aves locais. O aplicativo possui também um jogo, com informações sobre o nicho ecológico dos animais, que realiza associações entre o formato dos bicos das aves e seus hábitos alimentares. Essa abordagem poderá possibilitar a compreensão da influência que o hábito alimentar das aves exerce sobre a manutenção do equilíbrio de todo o seu ambiente de ocorrência, permitindo uma visão mais integrada das relações ecológicas, que costumam ser apresentadas de maneira fragmentada pelos livros didáticos e pelo próprio currículo escolar.
