The objective of this research is to analyze the impacts that the structural crisis of capital, through the process of Latin American neocolonial reversal, has provoked on the Brazilian Agrarian Question since the system entered in its deepest crisis around the years of 1970. The from the Marxian theory, represented today by the masterful work of István Mészáros, it was sought to know the mechanisms of operation of the sociometabolic system of capital for then the changes that have occurred in the Latin American continent that has impact the Brazilian agrarian question. The hypothesis defended here is that the changes orchestrated by the system are manifested in Brazil by the hegemony that transnational capital has achieved in agriculture through the alliance with the national bourgeoisie and the capture of the State apparatus. The consequences of this process would be present in the gradual abandonment, by the social organizations that fight for land like the MST, of an agrarian reform that radically deconcentres the property of the agrarian. In this sense, the complementary hypothesis is that the struggle for the construction of a socialist society by the Movement was abandoned as a consequence of this process. The investigative process was conducted by the dialectical method, using bibliographical and documentary research as analytical procedures. The results show that the economic and financial dependence of these organizations on state resources, as well as the increasingly restricted possibilities of insertion in the market, have led the social movements of the countryside to cool the combative and revolutionary position they once had.
