The Foz do Amazonas Basin is located in the extreme northwest of the Brazilian continental shelf, more precisely in the equatorial margin. This margin is distinguished from the east cost of Brazil, mainly by the existence of transtensions efforts that culminated in the creation of transform faults in E-W direction, and consequently, appearance pull apart type basins. This basin also differs from others Brazilian basins due to the existence of a significant sedimentary package deposited in the last 11 Ma, which can reach more than 10.000 meters of sediment. This feature, called Amazon Cone still has a little-understood stratigraphic framework. In the present study, we sought to bring new perspectives about the sedimentary basin, with emphasis on the analysis of stratigraphic typical cycles of progradational deltaic as well the distribution of possible siliciclastic reservoirs. The integrated analysis of wells with the seismic interpretation allowed the preparation of detailed stratigraphic correlations for the region of Amazon Cone. Important observations were also performed for the formations older than the Amazon cone, for example, the influence of igneous intrusions in Caciporé and Calçoene formations reaching even the Limoeiro formation (pos-rift sequence), and the presence of normal faults related to cooling of igneous feature, reaching the carbonate platform. This basin it is a new frontier in theirs complex structural and stratigraphic, where the interaction of factors such as rate of sediment supply and accommodation is not yet fully understood.
