This master´s dissertation proposes a reflection on the art places in the context of a globalized world , in which the displacement stands as a key issue in many spheres of life, of mankind, of things. In this world of mobility physical or virtual, concrete or immaterial, objective or symbolic art works cover different paths and question us how they manage, in their displacements, to be taken from one visibility system to another. The artist takes on different roles and relates to art questions from movable perspectives (or mobile prospects). When they move (artist and art work) they go from a known place and move themselves to the unknown. They go Somewhere to get Nowhere. Aiming at speculating about what I called Somewhere, Nowhere, I build a sequence of possible actions: walk, stop, share, understand, imagine, modify, invent, give a new meaning, move away, approach, enter, leave. To construct my work is to direct myself through a set of open actions not always in the same order. As a strategy, I exercise the action of moving myself through unknown places and I always try to keep my increased level of awareness of the places where I go. I use my body as a sensitive mediator and I allow myself to be affected. I try, on purpose, to range from the state of knowing and not knowing. My work is based on everyday life and I take from it what seems to be important and I devote myself to reinvent places with my body and my mind. When relating to the geography of what is visible with a broad universe that is still in a state of becoming I come before an imaginary geography and I seek a way to continue to build infinitely hypotheses about Somewhere. Through the relationship between my work process and some art works by contemporary artists, I seek to establish connections that contribute to leave open a potential field of research on the places of art
