Resumo: | Guilherme Studart, that made his representation as an intellectual and learned person, wrote works of reference for the historiography of Ceará, and was recognized by his compeers, partly due to the formation of the "Studart Collection". Thus, his history is linked to the constitution of his heritage. The aim of this paper is to analyze his personal archive, thinking about the means of acquisition and about the formation of the memory of its owner about himself. Also, we investigate the means of production, printing, circulation and reception of writers and books in Fortaleza, based on knowledge institutions and on the correspondence exchange promoted by Studart in those institutions. In those correspondence, several intellectuals comment on the difficulties of writing, publication and circulation of their works, and report its "appropriation" of national and international writers and books. |

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar seu arquivo privado, refletindo sobre os modos de aquisição da coleção e sobre a constituição da memória do proprietário da coleção sobre si mesmo. Buscamos também investigar aspectos concernentes à produção, circulação e recepção de autores e livros na cidade de Fortaleza a partir de instituições de saber e do intercâmbio epistolar promovido por Guilherme Studart nessas associações.
