Resumo: A roadbuilding has considerable costs in its design and especially in its execution. One of the main causes is the extensive use of heavy equipment in these works, both for earthmoving and paving services. However, although the costs related to the equipment represent one of the most relevant itens of a roadbuilding budget, there are a small number of research related to the improvement in the equipment selection process. In addition, there is a great difficulty in associating the technical characteristics provided by the manufacturers with productivity and hourly costs of using the equipment. This work aims to develop a model that assists in the selection of a specific type of earthmoving equipment (the motor graders), during the elaboration of budgets, based on the technical characteristics of the operational weight, maximum power and width of the blade, besides of productivity and costs criterias. Initially, the equations and parameters adopted in calculating the production and hourly costs of a motor grader were determined. A survey of motor graders commercialized in the local Fortaleza/CE market was carried out, gathering their acquisition values and their technical characteristics (operational weight, maximum power and blade width) required to calculate production and hourly costs. Applying the deterministic equations and adopted parameters, the production and hourly costs of each motor grader used in the sample were then calculated. Subsequently, through the sample of 17 machines of different models and brands and through the statistical method of regression and correlation analysis were determined the mathematical equations of production estimation and hourly costs, which gave origin to the proposed model. The result obtained for the developed model, based on the used evaluation method, was satisfactory and indicates that the model is adequate and allows the Cost Engineer to perform the selection of a motor grader directly, resorting only to the manufacturer's specifications.

Uma das principais causas é a larga utilização de equipamentos pesados nessas obras, tanto para serviços de terraplenagem quanto nos de pavimentação. No entanto, apesar dos custos relacionados aos equipamentos representarem um dos itens de maior peso no orçamento, há pequeno número de pesquisas relacionadas à melhoria no processo de seleção de equipamentos. Além disso, existe grande dificuldade em associar as características técnicas fornecidas pelos fabricantes com a produtividade e os custos horários de utilização dos equipamentos. Este trabalho tem como objetivo desenvolver um modelo que auxilie na seleção de um tipo específico de equipamentos de terraplenagem (as motoniveladoras), durante a elaboração de orçamentos, com base nas características técnicas, levando-se em consideração o peso operacional, potência máxima e largura da lâmina, além de critérios de produtividade e custos. Inicialmente foram determinadas as equações e parâmetros adotados no cálculo da produção e custos horários de uma motoniveladora. Foi realizado um levantamento das motoniveladoras comercializadas no mercado local de Fortaleza/CE, coletando os seus valores de aquisição e suas características técnicas (peso operacional, potência máxima e largura da lâmina) necessárias ao cálculo da produção e custos horários. Aplicando-se as equações determinísticas e parâmetros adotados, foram então calculadas a produção e os custos horários de cada motoniveladora utilizada na amostra. Posteriormente, através da amostra de 17 máquinas de diferentes modelos e marcas, e por meio do método estatístico de análise de regressão e correlação, foram determinadas as equações matemáticas de estimativa de produção e custos horários, que deram origem ao modelo proposto.
