De Férias no Mauc: um museu-escola na Universidade Federal do Ceará

Resumo: This research analyzes the formative role of the Art Museum of the Federal University of Ceará (MAUC) in the constitution of professionals linked to the "art worlds", taking as a case study the author's trajectory as an educator, artist, and researcher, according to an a/r/tographic methodology. The research is developed according to a qualitative approach, using autobiographical accounts produced from the author's direct experience as a workshop teacher at the museum between 2021 and 2024, under the program "Férias no MAUC," in addition to carrying out a survey of the activities developed by the program during the years of 2019 until the conclusion date of the present research, 2024. It is concluded that MAUC goes beyond the traditional exhibition function of museums, assuming itself as a "museum-school": a potential space for non-formal education capable of assisting in the professional training of students interested in the area of arts, museology, or education, by means of internship programs and free courses, affirming the role of museums as spaces for democratizing access to art and art education.

A pesquisa desenvolve-se segundo uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se de relatos autobiográficos produzidos a partir da experiência direta do autor como ministrante de oficinas no museu entre 2021 e 2024, sob o programa ‘‘Férias no MAUC’’, além de realizar um levantamento das atividades desenvolvidas pelo programa durante os anos de 2019 até a data de conclusão da presente pesquisa, 2024.
