Resumo: Based on the potential economic influence of the electricity sector in the collection of the State Sales Tax (SST) and, therefore, in the state transference of funds share to the municipalities of Ceará, this study aims to investigate the impact of the installation of Eolic Farms on the value added tax in the period 2005 to 2016. Consistent with the econometric technique of differences in differences, the study analyzed two groups of municipalities – Treatment and Control – the first one consisting of fifteen municipalities that have aero generators in their territories, while the municipalities of the Control group were obtained from the similarity of their value added tax when compared with those of the Treatment group. The results of the estimations allowed to conclude that the generation of wind energy contributed to the increase the share of the SST transferred to the municipalities of the Treatment Group and that they had a greater participation of the transfer funds from the federal government.

Condizente com a técnica econométrica de diferenças em diferenças, o trabalho analisou dois grupos de municípios, Tratamento e Controle, sendo o primeiro formado por quinze municípios que possuem aero geradores em seus territórios, enquanto os municípios do grupo de Controle foram obtidos a partir da semelhança dos seus Valores Adicionados Fiscais quando comparados com os do grupo de Tratamento.
