Resumo: From the gender theories, studies on journalism and politics and the interrelationships between these areas, this thesis aims to investigate the news coverage on the impeachment process of President-elect Dilma Vana Rousseff in articles published in the weekly magazines Veja, Época and IstoÉ. The concept of situated knowledges (HARAWAY, 1995) is the start point of this research process, which is neither neutral nor impartial, passing through the body of a woman-researcher. The articles analysed were published between December 2, 2015 – when the speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Eduardo Cunha, accepted the request for impeachment – and August 31, 2016 – the last day of Dilma Rousseff's presidential term. Covers and reports will be analysed on a specific methodological basis anchored by the methods of Discourse Analysis (BENETTI, 2007). The elaborations in this work are carried out from the discussion of Diana Taylor's concept of archive and repertoire (2013), gender issues (BEAUVOIR, 1949, BUTLER, 2003, CHANTER, 2011) and the discussions – and particularities – of the entrance of woman in the political field (BIROLI, 2010), beside the discussion of journalism theories (TRAQUINA, 2005) and its use as a legitimation mechanism in a process. This thesis integrates the researches of the Postgraduate Program in Communication of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and the Laboratório de Investigação em Corpo, Comunicação e Arte (Licca).Keywords: Dilma Rousseff. PoliticsA partir das teorias de gênero, dos estudos sobre Jornalismo e da discussão a respeito do campo da política – e as inter-relações entre as três áreas –, esta dissertação pretende investigar a cobertura jornalística realizada sobre o processo de impeachment (ou golpe) da presidenta eleita Dilma Vana Rousseff nas revistas semanas Veja, Época e IstoÉ. O conceito de saber localizado (HARAWAY, 1995) é princípio deste processo de pesquisa, o qual se compreende como não neutro e não imparcial, passando pelo corpo de uma pesquisadoramulher. As publicações analisadas foram publicadas entre os dias 2 de dezembro de 2015 – quando o então presidente da Câmara, Eduardo Cunha, aceita o pedido de impeachment – e o dia 31 de agosto de 2016 – o último dia do segundo mandato presidencial de Dilma Rousseff. As capas e reportagens serão analisadas em um percurso metodológico próprio ancorado pelos métodos da Análise do Discurso (BENETTI, 2007). As elaborações feitas neste trabalho são realizadas a partir da discussão do conceito de arquivo e repertório de Diana Taylor (2013), de questões relativas a gênero (BEAUVOIR, 1949; BUTLER, 2003; CHANTER, 2011) e das discussões – e particularidades – da entrada da mulher no campo político (BIROLI, 2010), assim como da discussão das teorias de Jornalismo (TRAQUINA, 2005) e da sua utilização como mecanismo de legitimação de um processo.
