Resumo: | This work presents the study of wind turbines equipped doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) for compensation of harmonic currents in electrical grid. Non-linear loads as, for example, rectifiers and converters based on semiconductor switches can cause these currents. The harmonic compensation function is possible through adjustments in DFIG control system, making it able to filtering harmonic currents of non-linear loads, thus reducing the circulation of currents in the power distribution network. Therefore, a study of harmonic current compensation techniques through control strategies applied in DFIG converters is proposed. The precondition for the study is the preservation of the classical functions that each converter perform, namely: control of active and reactive power of the stator by the rotor side converter (RSC) and; voltage on the DC link of the back-to-back converter and power factor by the grid side converter (GSC). The harmonic compensation function in both converters is possible. Four strategies were developed with the following concepts: field-oriented control in RSC and voltage-oriented control in GSC, both widely used; self-tuning filters (STFs), which have high selectivity; and pq Theory, which is the basis of the control of static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs) and active filters. To compare the performance and validate the proposed strategies for harmonic compensation by DFIG, this work presents simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC software. |
