Freight transport activity, despite being important for the development of a region, is closely related to negative externalities that tend to be intensified by its insertion into urban environment due to the diversity of land use, as well as the complexity of the road network, with its alternative routes possibilities that can influence variations in length and duration of the route and, thus, the occurrence and efficiency of deliveries, reflecting on logistics costs. Therefore, and considering the research gaps found regarding the study of the relationship between road connectivity, diversity of the urban environment and pollutant emissions due to urban freight transport operation, the main purpose of this work is to understand the effects of road network connectivity on air pollutant emissions according to the Logistics Profile, using routes between origin and destination deliveries points as the unit of integration between those subjects. Thus, the study was divided into articles to facilitate the understanding of those relationships mentioned, having defined Logistics Profiles for the city of Fortaleza (CE) using variables of land use, economic profile, settlement and connectivity, through Spatial Syntax centrality indicators (choice and integration) which made a more representative definition. By profiles’ generation it was possible to trace paths between OD pairs using the software AimSun Next 22.00, which also provided CO2 emission values according to the London Emission Model (LEM). The statistical tests carried resulted in a non-significant correlation between connectivity and emission for the routes (very weak/null), however adherence to other authors results was found as well as improvement suggestions for future research.
