In this research we conducted a study on the pedagogical contributions of an Investigative Teaching Sequence. The research itself sought to answer the following question: what is the contribution to the conceptual advancement of students in the 1st grade of a public school when they are inserted in an investigative activity? To this end, we performed three activities and one more pretest, with the help of digital educational simulators, which were used to mediate meaningful learning. The fieldwork took place between the months of March and April, in a State School of Vocational Education in the city of Senador Pompeu-CE. With the systematization of the final results, it was noticeable that, before the practice, there was the presence of several alternative conceptions indicated in the academic literature and also others not mentioned. After practice, it was found that a large majority of students were able to overcome the initial intuitive conceptions. Thus, we hope that the contributions promoted by this research can support the work of schools and teachers that do not have a physical laboratory, but aim to provide meaningful learning through investigative methodologies.A busca pelo conhecimento cientificamente aceito é um caminho longo de se atingir, pois os estudantes possuem significado próprio para a grande maioria dos conteúdos e em muitos desses casos essas convicções são bem resistentes, como já foi verificado na literatura acadêmica (LEITE, 1993). Nessa pesquisa realizamos um estudo sobre as contribuições pedagógicas de uma Sequência de Ensino Investigativa. A pesquisa em si procurou responder a seguinte questão: qual é a contribuição para o avanço conceitual dos alunos da 1º série do Ensino Médio de uma escola da rede pública ao serem inseridos em uma atividade investigativa? Com essa finalidade, realizamos três atividades e mais um pré-teste, com a ajuda de simuladores educacionais digitais, que foram utilizados na mediação de uma aprendizagem significativa. O trabalho de campo ocorreu entre as messes de março e abril, em uma Escola Estadual de Educação Profissional no município de Senador Pompeu-CE. Com a sistematização dos resultados finais, foi perceptível que, antes da prática, existia a presença de várias concepções alternativas indicadas na literatura acadêmica e também de outras não citadas. Posteriormente à prática, verificou-se que um grande a maioria dos estudantes conseguiu superar as concepções intuitivas iniciais.
