Resumo: Analogies are a resource widely found in many everyday situations. Its use is observed from an informal conversation between two people even in informative science texts. The analogies have been the object of interest and study of several researchers since the 1980s, both nationally and internationally. According to an Ausubelian view, analogies represent a potentially useful didactic resource, because they work with students' preexisting knowledge, thus helping in the formation/evolution of their cognitive structure, as well as making abstract concepts more intelligible. Its use also makes scientific language clearer, which for many is hard, dry and cold. Looking at analogies from Gardner's research, its application stimulates the development of the subject's multiple intelligences, since whatever analogy is used, according to Gardner, the subject will be using one or more of his Intelligences to try to understand it. This work will also contemplate minutiae about analogue language, such as its emergence, its functions, the spontaneity of analogical thinking in the human mind, the various situations in which we observe its manifestation, as well as its vulnerabilities and, finally, a comparison between its use and the Of other teaching methods. And finally, as a consequence of this study and based on the author's concerns about the observed difficulties of the students in the discipline of Physics, it appears, at the end of this work, a collection of analogies created by the author as a complementary teaching proposal. It is believed that in this way, learning is more enjoyable, effective and meaningful. Key-words: Analogies. Teaching Physics. Teaching methods.

Teaching methods.As analogias são um recurso amplamente encontrado em diversas situações do dia-a-dia. Seu uso é observado desde uma conversa informal entre duas pessoas até mesmo em textos informativos de ciências. As analogias vem sendo alvo de interesse e estudo de diversos pesquisadores desde a década de 80, tanto no âmbito nacional como internacional. De acordo com uma visão Ausubeliana, as analogias representam um recurso didático potencialmente útil, pois trabalham com os conhecimentos pré-existentes dos estudantes, ajudando assim na formação/evolução de sua estrutura cognitiva, assim como tornam conceitos abstratos mais inteligíveis. Sua utilização também torna mais clara a linguagem científica que, para muitos, é dura, seca e fria. Observando as analogias a partir das pesquisas de Gardner, sua aplicação estimula o desenvolvimento das diversas inteligências múltiplas do sujeito, uma vez que, seja qual for a analogia utilizada, de acordo com Gardner, o sujeito estará valendo-se de uma ou mais de suas inteligências múltiplas para tentar compreendê-la. Este trabalho também contemplará minúcias sobre a linguagem analógica, como seu surgimento, suas funções, a espontaneidade do pensamento analógico na mente humana, as diversas situações em que observamos sua manifestação, assim como suas vulnerabilidades e por fim, um comparativo entre seu uso e o de outros métodos de ensino. E finalmente, como consequência desse estudo e a partir das inquietações do autor acerca das dificuldades observadas dos estudantes na disciplina de Física, consta, ao final deste trabalho, uma coletânea de analogias criadas pelo autor como uma proposta complementar de ensino. Acredita-se que dessa forma, a aprendizagem seja mais prazerosa, eficaz e significativa. Palavras-chave: Analogias. Ensino de Física.
