The necessity to increase agricultural land, the big demand for food, the need for more quantities of crops during the year, the scarcity of nutrients in the soil, the need to reduce losses, and the increase in the incidence of pests in crops, led to producers looking for methods, differentiated management and products to solve this problem and bring value to the cultures. With that, in this context, fertilizers and pesticides emerged and started to play a fundamental role. The costs with the application of fertilizers and pesticides in irrigated agriculture according to the application methods are extremely important for producers, however there is a great lack of studies and studies that address this theme, although it is one of the main themes related to the use of chemicals, as they directly affect finances, efficiency and productivity. Based on this premise, this study aims to compare the costs of chimigation by the central pivot method versus the costs of the conventional tractorized method of fertilizer and pesticide applications, through a simulation, that is, a fictitious situation in which supposing that the area was 66 ha, the soybean crop was grown on that land and was located in the Jaguaribe region, close to the Jaguaribe River basin and taking into account the conditions of the region. To obtain the operational costs of applying these methods, it was necessary to calculate the fixed and variable costs of the tractorized method and the chemigation, taking into account their individualities and paying attention to the specific application costs. In this way it was possible to clarify the costs of applying chemical products in irrigated agriculture according to the form of application. It is concluded that in this way it was possible to fill the lack of studies, publications and articles and provide efficiency in providing information, both for professionals, farmers, students, as well as for the general public, since this work aims at a clear and accessible language.
