Introduction: The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) was developed in 2001 by the World Health Organization (WHO), presenting central concepts such as functioning and disability, showing its components and their multidirectional relationships. It is organized through more than 1400 categories, represented by an alphanumeric code. As a way of transforming the texts and information from assessment instruments and care protocols into categories and codes, researchers and professionals have carried out studies linking significant concepts with the existing categories in the ICF. In this context, the development of applications has been increasing, because they offer speed without reducing the veracity of the data, becoming important for health assistance, but there are still no applications that describe the linkage process with the ICF according to the established rules. Objective: to describe the development and evaluate the usability of an application for linking mean concepts with the International Classification of Disability, Functioning and Health (ICF). Methods: descriptive study, for the development and evaluation of the usability of a multiplatform application. Its development was organized following the structuring of Systematic Instructional Design (DIS), which is organized into five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. For usability, health professionals who had experience with the ICF were selected, using the convenience and snowball method, based on meeting at least two of Jasper's (1994) criteria. Participants assessed usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS), consisting of 10 items with response options arranged on a Likert scale. The results of the application development were presented through figures on the interface of the application's current screens, and the usability result was obtained using the SUS scale scoring criteria, with the average of the scores obtained being calculated, with results lower than 68 points considered unsatisfactory for efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction with its use. Results: the application development was completed with the current layout, with release for use on Android and iOS devices. Regarding usability, 12 healthcare professionals participated in the research and the average total score obtained on the SUS scale was 84.6 points, which, according to the scale, means an excellent value for effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction. Conclusion: CIFLink was developed and had its usability evaluated, highlighting excellent levels for its efficiency, effectiveness and user satisfaction. Through this research, the aim is to stimulate the interest of other professionals in using the ICF and the application, by carrying out studies linking concepts in different health contexts. For further research, it may be interesting to evaluate the validity of the CIFLink and its application in healthcare contexts.
