Resumo: This Master's research studies the relationship between cinema and comic books, focusing on everyday use. We analyze three film sequences by Abbas Kiarostami Where is My Friend's House? (1987), And Life Goes on... (1992) and Like Someone in Love (2012) and three manga chapters by Jiro Taniguchi The Walking Man (2017), Gourmet (2020) and The Briefcase (2022). Everyday life is an important part of these artists' narratives, and it is used to explore themes such as identity, memory and transformation. From this we chose to establish the relationship between cinema and comics with Cirne (2000), Moya (1994) in addition to Postema (2018) and Barbieri (2017); and how these two media share some characteristics, such as the use of image and narrative. This research uses the relationship between the categories of time, space, together with everyday life in the narratives of comic books and cinema. We based our research on the concepts of chronotope, everyday life and narratology. The general objective is to study how time, space and everyday life relate in the two chosen semiotic systems. The specific objectives are to look for common elements that appear in objects. Our theoretical support includes names such as Bakhtin (2018) with his concept of chronotope for literature, Luyten (2012) with the importance of manga and Meleiro (2006) on Iranian cinema. For the relationship between time and cinematic space, we chose authors such as Gaudreault and Jost (2009), Deleuze (2018) and Burch (2008) as a starting point. In relation to the comic book chronotope, the concepts of Postema (2018), Barbieri (2017), Lucas (2019) and Groensteen (2015). About everyday life, Schneider (2017, 2019), Certeau (2014) and Kato (2012). The research results show that the two semiotic systems (comics and cinema) share many similarities in the way they portray time, space and everyday life. However, there are also some important differences, such as the way the two semiotic systems deal with the flow of time and the representation of space.

Analisamos três sequências de filmes de Abbas Kiarostami: Onde fica a casa do meu amigo? (1987), E a vida continua...
