Resumo: A foundations project must meet at least the following basic requirements: a) acceptable deformations under the working conditions; B) adequate security to the foundation soil collapse; and (c) adequate safety for the structural elements collapse. When using piles to design a project, depending on the distance between them, the behavior of one interferes with the other. This occurs both in terms of load capacity and settlement. Research on the group effect in typical soils of Fortaleza is scarce, justifying and motivating research on the subject. The aim of this research is to evaluate the group effect of excavated piles on granular soil profiles, typical of those that occur in the subground of the city of Fortaleza. For this, a bibliographic review was initially carried out on the subject. Subsequently, 26 piles were performed on a site, inside the campus of UFC (Experimental Field of Geotechnics and Foundations of UFC), isolated and in groups of 2 and 4 piles, varying the spacing between them. The subsoil was characterized from the collection of geotechnical test results that were previously performed at the site. In addition, a Standard Penetration Test (SPT) was performed, which had its resistance indexes (NSPT) corrected in function of efficiency estimates. Subsequently, Static Load Tests (SLT) on piles were carried out. The results of the static load tests on the executed piles, isolated and in groups, were compared with estimations made from methods established in the literature. It was observed that the executed piles work only by lateral friction. It was verified Group effect at all spacings investigated.

It was verified Group effect at all spacings investigated.Um projeto de fundações deve atender, no mínimo, aos seguintes requisitos básicos: a) deformações aceitáveis sob as condições de trabalho; b) segurança adequada ao colapso do solo de fundações; e c) segurança adequada ao colapso dos elementos estruturais. Ao utilizar estacas para concepção de um projeto, dependendo da distância entre elas, o comportamento de uma interfere no da outra. Isso ocorre tanto em termos de capacidade de carga como com relação aos recalques. Pesquisas sobre o efeito de grupo de estacas em solos típicos de Fortaleza são escassos, justificando e motivando trabalhos sobre o assunto. O objetivo da presente pesquisa é avaliar o efeito de grupo de estacas escavadas em perfis de solo granular, típicos aos que ocorrem no subsolo da cidade de Fortaleza. Para isso, inicialmente, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema. Posteriormente, foram executadas 26 estacas, em um terreno situado no interior do campus da UFC (Campo experimental de geotecnia e fundações da UFC), isoladas e em grupos de 2 e 4 estacas, variando-se o espaçamento entre elas. O subsolo foi caracterizado a partir da coleta de resultados de ensaios geotécnicos que foram realizados anteriormente no local. Além disso, foi realizado um furo de sondagem à percussão (SPT), que tiveram seus índices de resistência (NSPT) corrigidos em função de estimativas realizadas da eficiência. Posteriormente, foram realizadas provas de carga estática (PCE) nas estacas executadas. Os resultados da capacidade de carga e dos recalques das estacas executadas, isoladas e em grupos, foram comparados com previsões realizadas a partir de métodos consagrados pela literatura. Foi observado, através das PCEs realizadas, que as estacas executadas trabalham apenas por atrito lateral.
