Resumo: Defects of pavements must be managed in such a way that do not pose risks and higher costs to the users. Thus, some methods for collecting data on defects have been studied and developed, but only a few are applied by the public authorities and utilities, some due to cost and transportation logistics and others for the lack of precision. With the increasing use of RPAs in several areas around the world, it has been possible that this need can be partially met, leading to a higher performance both qualitatively and quantitatively for data collection of pavement defects, since its use for imaging is a reality in the context of Transport Engineering. Therefore, this work has the objective of developing a procedure to collect defects in flexible pavements with the use of RPAs, in order to facilitate decision making for indication of maintenance on urban roads with asphaltic pavements, verifying and comparing the data obtained so that it is possible to determine the best methodology to be used. In this investigation, a RPA Multirotor was used to obtain images of the surface of rolling tracks on flexible pavements and flight plan software and image processing of a certain road in the city of Fortaleza - CE. By means of visual interpretation, it was possible to identify and measure the defects of the types of pots and patches on the pavement, on flights with heights of 30, 40, 50 and 60 meters, with and without the use of control points, using two different speeds (medium and fast) and two collecting methods (Linear and Grid), so it is possible to verify the variation in measurements obtained from collecting, to thereby propose a method. It was concluded that the different variables such as: flight height, speed, collecting methods and use of control points interfere in the defects collection in pavements, in addition to being noticeable that the size and type of the defect influences the measurement error percentage. It was also possible to make a statistical comparison between the survey methods at the height of 30 meters, which was the one that obtained better preliminary results, having as conclusion a greater precision for the collection of data on pavement defects with the use of control points in the method Linear.
