Resumo: With the strengthening of the behavioral approach of people management from the 1960s, a new field of multidisciplinary study called organizational behavior emerged. This field studies the behavior of people within an organization and its impact on performance. One of the most important manifestations of an individual's behavior in the organization to which he belongs is the established links between him and the organization. Among the links, the commitment is highlighted. It is in this context that the research seeks to apply the model of organizational commitment of Medeiros (2003) that initially presents itself as a scale of organizational commitment with good adjustment to the Brazilian culture. The model of Medeiros (2003) is composed by four dimensions: affective (identification with the values and objectives of the organization), affiliative (feeling of being part of the group), normative (the individual commits himself to the organization because he thinks it is right morally to do) and continuance (impairment resulting from the calculation of costs and benefits associated with their stay in the company). The research was applied with workers from the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry in the brazilian state of Ceará. The choice for this group is justified by the high turnover rate of the sector, its large contingent of young professionals, and its positive impact on the dynamics of other sectors. The research is classified as quantitative, descriptive (since it seeks to discover the characteristics of a given population or phenomenon) and explanatory, because it seeks to discover which factors (sociodemographic variables) contribute to the occurrence of a phenomenon (organizational impairment). A total of 385 (three hundred eighty-five) responses were collected through a questionnaire composed of seven sociodemographic variables (gender, marital status, employment status, occupational group, family financial responsibility, education level and length of service) and 30 (thirty) questions from the Medeiros model (2003). The techniques of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were applied with the aid of SPPS and AMOS software. The results indicate that the model of Medeiros (2003) does not fit well with the group studied (workers from the ICT industry in Ceará), and it is possible to arrive at the model of good fit with three dimensions: affective-affiliative (gathers affective and affiliative), normative and continuance. Another important conclusion was the considerable lower level of instrumental and affective-affiliative commitment among outsourcers.

Esse campo estuda o comportamento das pessoas dentro de uma organização e seu impacto no desempenho dela. Uma das manifestações mais importantes do comportamento de um indivíduo na organização à qual pertence são os vínculos estabelecidos entre ele e a organização. Dentre os vínculos, destaca-se o comprometimento. É nesse contexto que a pesquisa busca esclarecer o grau de comprometimento organizacional dos trabalhadores do setor de TIC cearense aplicando o modelo de comprometimento organizacional de Medeiros (2003), que inicialmente se apresenta como uma escala de comprometimento organizacional com bom ajuste à cultura brasileira. O modelo de Medeiros (2003) é composto por quatro dimensões: afetiva (identificação com os valores e objetivos da organização), afiliativa (sentimento de fazer parte do grupo), normativa (o indivíduo se compromete com a organização, porque acha que é o certo moralmente a se fazer) e instrumental (comprometimento resultado do cálculo de custos e benefícios associados a sua permanência na empresa). A pesquisa foi aplicada com 385 trabalhadores da indústria de Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) cearense. A escolha por esse grupo se justifica pelo alto índice de turnover do setor, seu grande contingente de profissionais jovens, além de seu impacto positivo na dinâmica de outros setores. A pesquisa se classifica como quantitativa, descritiva, já que busca descobrir as características de determinada população ou fenômeno, e explicativa, porque busca descobrir quais fatores, variáveis sociodemográficas, contribuem para a ocorrência de um fenômeno (comprometimento organizacional). As respostas foram coletadas por meio de questionário composto por sete variáveis sociodemográficas (sexo, estado civil, vínculo empregatício, grupo ocupacional, responsabilidade financeira familiar, grau de instrução e tempo de serviço) e pelas 30 (trinta) perguntas do modelo de Medeiros (2003). Foram aplicadas as técnicas de Análise de Variância (ANOVA) e Análise Fatorial Confirmatória (AFC) com o auxílio dos softwares SPPS e AMOS. Os resultados obtidos indicam que o modelo de Medeiros (2003) não se ajusta bem ao grupo pesquisado (trabalhadores da indústria cearense de TIC), sendo possível chegar ao modelo de bom ajuste com três dimensões: afetiva-afiliativa (reúne indicadores das dimensões afetiva e afiliativa), normativa e instrumental. Outra conclusão importante foi o considerável menor nível de comprometimento instrumental e afeto-afiliativo entre os terceirizados. Por fim, conclui-se que embora o tema comprometimento organizacional seja bastante estudado na literatura brasileira, ainda serão necessárias mais pesquisas quantitativas para aprofundar o tema e chegar a uma escala de bom ajuste à cultura brasileira.
