O processo educativo da costureira industrial: histórias de vida

Resumo: The study analysis the educational process of the textile worker*. This analysis is based upon the concept that education is a way of acquiring knowledge that leads to the subsject's critical conscience as a result of a praxis. Education is considered to be a global process that occurs in different periods of an individual's life involving experiences in formal education, in productive activities as well as in social relations. The study inquires how the worker is able to convert her job as an educational experience that might be used as tool for a transforming action. The study is a qualitative research which utilized a case study in one garment industry in Fortaleza. Reports of participative observations and life reports of three textile workers were used. Life report allowed the researcher tracing the educational process of the textile workers from childhood up to the present time. The study attempted to describe the educational process in a system of capitalistic production not only in the specific training period to perform activities in a fragmented process of garnEnt production. The education of the working class in a system of capitalistic production is only specific qualification for one given operation aiming at productive ability. The focus is on teaching what to do wi thout establishingany relationship between theory and practice. The fragmented knowledgeacquired by the textile worker leads to a fragmented political conscience. The education offered, by the owners of theproduction means determines the domineering aspect of the worker class which is taught to perform one single operation in the industry. It is observed, however that the educationalprocess is not completed in the industrial training. Facing a fragmented and alienating professional practice, the worker has possibility to develop critical conscience of ~he productive relations that will lead to the acquisition of a new knowledge which will offer resistance to the system. It my be inferred from the study that in the educational process it is very .important the knowledge articulation in a global way considering specific training and political education. The textile worker's professional formation makes possible the development of resistance to the capitalistic production system in such a way that she acquires both theoretical as well practical knowledge that will lead to a "creative praxis" regarding her job. This fact will give the textileworker condi tions to establish her own business.

This fact will give the textileworker condi tions to establish her own business.Este estudo trata da análise do processo educativo da Costureira Industrial partindo do pressuposto básico que referenda a educação como forma de aprendizagem ao saber a nível da consciência crítica de sujeito, como resultado de uma práxis. Esta educação é vista de forma ampla e total e acontecendo em diferentes momentos da vida do indivíduo seja através de processos formais, seja pelas experiências vivenciadas nas práticas produtivas, nas relações de produção e nas relações sociais. Questiona-se de que forma a costureira consegue fazer de seu trabalho um princípio educativo que possa lhe servir como instrumento de aprendizagem para uma ação transformadora. O referido estudo caracteriza-se como pesquisa qualitativa procedendo através do estudo de caso em uma Indústria de Confecção de Roupas de Fortaleza. Foram utilizados procedimentos de observações participativas e relatos de histórias de vida de três costureiras. A história de vida permite a observação do processo educativo por que passam as costureiras, desde a infância até hoje, sob vários aspectos e em diferentes momentos de sua vida. Tentamos mostrar como ocorre o "processo educativo" no sistema de produção capitalista não se restringindo apenas ao momento onde as costureiras são treinadas, para executar operações específicas no processo parcelizado de produção de roupas. A educação dada à classe trabalhadora no sistema de produção capitalista é apenas qualificação específica de uma operação, visando a sua capacidade produtiva. Ensina-se apenas o saber fazer, eliminando-se a relação Teoria/Prática, considerado um treinamento meramente manual, sem dúvida isto conduz a um saber fragmentado que tem como consevii quência uma tendência à fragmentação da consciência política do trabalhador. Os treinamentos são reforçados pela ideologia dominante cujo objetivo é reproduzir e manter o sistema. Portanto a educação funciona neste caso como mecanismo de acumulação capitalista preparando mão-de-obra específica. A pretensa "educação" propiciada então pelos donos dos meios de produção determina claramente o aspecto dominador e expropriador da classe trabalhadora no sistema de produção capitalista uma vez que o limita ao desempenho de uma única operação na fábrica. Observa-se porém que o processo educativo não se acaba na pretensa formação profissional realizada na fábrica. Diante desta prática alienante e fragmentada a costureira tem possibilidade de elaborar um contra-saber de resistência ao sistema, através de sua consciência crítica das relações de produção que se estabelecem. Constatanos através deste estudo que no processo educativo da costureira e muito importante a sistematização do saber de forma ampla e total, tanto na sua formação profissional como nos demais aspectos de sua educação incluindo sua formação política. A formação profissional, em todo processo de produção de roupas, possibilita que a mesma obtenha meios de resistência ao sistema de produção capitalista, de forma que ela detenha o conhecimento tanto teórico como prático para que possa desenvolver uma "práxis criátiva" na concepção de seu trabalho, e que a mesma, aliada à sua formação política, permite uma reflexão de sua "práxis" na perspectiva de uma transformação da realidade.
