Programação Linear e Algoritmo Simplex: uma Proposta de Abordagem no Curso Técnico em Agropecuária

Resumo: This work presents a proposal for an interdisciplinary activity that seeks to take advantage of the contents already known by the students, such as equations, inequalities and linear systems, in order to introduce new knowledge: Linear Programming (LP) and the Simplex Algorithm. We propose an algebraic and technological approach, in order to show that mathematics learned in basic education can be applied in everyday life. We established a brief relationship between PL and Computational Thinking, encouraging the use of new technologies and aligning it with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the curriculum of the State of Espírito Santo. Although the activity was designed for a class of the technical course in agriculture, it can be easily used in regular high school classes. Finally, we present an application for smartphone and a computational resource for solving problems with many variables. It is necessary to remember that the proposal was not applied, due to the current moment of fight against COVID-19.

It is necessary to remember that the proposal was not applied, due to the current moment of fight against COVID-19.Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta de atividade interdisciplinar que busca aproveitar os conteúdos já conhecidos pelos alunos, como equações, inequações e sistemas lineares, a fim de introduzir um conhecimento novo: a Programação Linear (PL) e o Algoritmo Simplex. Propomos uma abordagem algébrica e tecnológica, a fim de mostrar que a Matemática aprendida no ensino básico pode ser aplicada no dia a dia. Estabelecemos uma breve relação entre a PL e o Pensamento Computacional, incentivando o uso de novas tecnologias e fazendo um alinhamento com a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e o currículo do Estado do Espírito Santo. Embora a atividade tenha sido pensada para uma turma do curso técnico em agropecuária, pode ser facilmente aproveitada nas turmas do Ensino Médio regular. Por fim, apresentamos um aplicativo para smartphone e um recurso computacional para a resolução dos problemas com muitas variáveis.
