Resumo: This work develop an analysis and synthesis on the subject Processes Management Maturity and management excellence, from the perception of increased complexity and competition in the environment of work organizations and the existence of a "vacuum" on the theoretical and conceptual theme of management processes and their applications in organizations. To this end, reviews the theoretical and conceptual frameworks, tools, applications and cases with the aim of reaching a synthesis on the structure, the necessary knowledge, the failures and the results of Business Process Maturity models. To achieve the objectives pursued, the work was developed from an extensive literature review and case studies on the subject processes.

Para tal, analisa os referenciais teórico-conceituais, os instrumentos, as aplicações e casos, com o objetivo de chegar a uma síntese sobre a estrutura, os conhecimentos necessários, as falhas e os resultados da Maturidade em Gestão por Processos.
