Cooperação, compartilhamento de intencionalidade e ambiguidade: reflexões sobre o comportamento linguístico

Resumo: This research investigates the relation between the sharing of intentionality (TOMASELLO, 1999, 2008) – a mechanism of human primates' cognition –, cooperative human communication and linguistic behavior, more specifically the interpretative process of structurally ambiguous sentences. In addition, it seeks to establish a dialog interface between the studies of Michael Tomasello - from a socio-cognitive perspective of the language - and the studies of CognitiveFunctional Linguistics, or Functional-Centered Functional Linguistics (TOMASELLO, 2008; BYBEE, 2004, 2010), in order to allow the use of this theoretical approach in linguistic research analyzes. In order to exemplify this possibility of theoretical-analytical approach, it is proposed to re-read data from two previous researches (GRAVINA; DIONIZIO, 2016; DIONIZIO, 2016) in order to apply the theoretical interface constructed during the research. The investigation made possible the understanding that the cooperative human communication allows the construction of a common conceptual ground, whereas the shared intention directs the interpretation to the collaborative field, that is, it is interpreted according to what is believed to be the expected situation as the desire to collaborate with other speakers in communicative activities is fundamental for effective communication. It is concluded that research thus characterized is feasible, which demonstrates the need for an extension of this initial theoretical transposition so that it is possible to study other linguistic phenomena of Brazilian Portuguese (and other languages) under this conceptual prism.

Além disso, busca-se estabelecer uma interface de diálogo entre os estudos de Michael Tomasello – sob uma perspectiva sociocognitivista da linguagem – e os estudos da Linguística Cognitivo-Funcional, ou Linguística Funcional Centrada no Uso (TOMASELLO, 2008; BYBEE, 2004, 2010), de modo a possibilitar a utilização dessa aproximação teórica em análises de investigação linguística. De modo a exemplificar essa possibilidade de aproximação teórica-analítica, propõe-se a releitura de dados de duas pesquisas anteriores (GRAVINA; DIONIZIO, 2016; DIONIZIO, 2016) com vistas a aplicar a interface teórica construída no decorrer da pesquisa. A investigação possibilitou a compreensão de que a comunicação humana cooperativa viabiliza a construção de um terreno conceitual comum, ao passo que a intenção compartilhada direciona a interpretação para o campo colaborativo, ou seja, interpreta-se conforme o que se acredita ser o esperado para situações linguísticas específicas, uma vez que o desejo de colaborar com outros falantes em atividades comunicativas é fundamental para que a comunicação se efetive de fato.
