Resumo: In this research we plan to investigate the dilemmas regarding the insertion of the theme of heritage education in the Brazilian educational context on the basis of documentation produced in the field of public policies for education, specifically in workshops imposed in a macro field more education program. We conducted the study to a qualitative evaluation through bibliographic and documental research. In this way, we weave historical perspectives on heritage in the Brazilian panorama and approaches on the insertion of the theme of heritage education in this public policy of national scope. Aim of the study as a reference the specific practices of heritage education, during a certain period and within the framework of this program, in a public school institution, the Municipal School of Christ the King elementary school, located in the municipality of Erechim, in the northeast of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. This research allowed to weave relevant considerations the dilemmas of the thematic field of heritage opposed the normative propositions and the educational reality.

Conduzimos o estudo para uma avalia??o qualitativa atrav?s de pesquisas bibliogr?ficas e documentais. Desse modo, tecemos perspectivas hist?ricas sobre patrim?nio no panorama brasileiro e abordagens quanto ? inser??o da tem?tica da Educa??o Patrimonial nessa pol?tica p?blica de abrang?ncia nacional. Apontamos como refer?ncia do estudo a execu??o de pr?ticas espec?ficas de educa??o patrimonial, durante determinado per?odo e no ?mbito desse programa, em uma institui??o escolar p?blica, a Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Cristo Rei, situada no munic?pio de Erechim, no nordeste do estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
