Resumo: This dissertation is the result of research developed for UFFS Graduate Program in History, as a requirement for obtaining a Master's Degree in History. The reflections proposed in this study aim to present elements on the debate about gender relations within the MST. For this, the general objective is to analyze women participating in the Agrarian Reform Fair in the city of Passos Maia / SC conception on the role of women in the agroecological production of the MST. The research method used for the development of this study is History Bottom View, from Edward Palmer Thompson, where he seeks to describe history from ordinary people reality. The key concepts used are: gender relations, work and agroecology. To configure this work, we used bibliographical and documentary research, and interviews, through Oral History. A total of 16 interviews were conducted with the Landless women and women farmers who live in the city of Passos Maia and an interview with a MST State Department of Women and Health representative. In order to present the proposed reflections, this dissertation is divided into three chapters. Through the analysis carried out, the results show the existence of different conceptions about the women work in the production of agroecological food. It is pointed out that the creation of spaces such as the Agrarian Reform Fair are fundamental for advancing the construction of a new way of producing and developing productive relations from short agri-food chains. Women are key to this process development. In this context, in MST organicity in relation to what is experienced by women entrepreneurs, it is possible to perceive innumerable divergences that can only be overcomed by strengthening women participation actions in organizational instances of the movement and society in general, access to cities legislative and executive power, among other spheres. In addition, it is concluded that strengthening the agroecological practices being developed by women in their day-to-day work on the properties and constitute a new production mode within the MST settlements is fundamental for their strengthening, as well as establishing new practices of production and reproduction of life in society.
