Identificação de plantios florestais de interesse comercial em Goiás: classificação supervisionada de imagens multiespectrais

Resumo: Goiás is still at the beginning of the development process of its forestry sector, and a breakdown of the total area of each of the commercial species is necessary due to the state's potential to insert itself as a relevant forest figure in the country. Thus, the objective of this work was to identify and quantify the area of forests planted with Eucalyptus spp., Khaya spp. and Hevea spp. through supervised classification of Sentinel-2A images dated between 02 and 22 of august, 2021. The classification supervision resulted in the sampling of 820 polygons, these differentiated into nine classes of land use and cover. The global accuracy of the Random Forest model was 96.11%, in addition to a Kappa index of 95.26%. For area calculation, a predominance of Eucalyptus spp. (90,583 ha), but also a very significant portion of Hevea spp. (23,213 ha) individuals. Khaya spp. are still the minority in the state. The total area of planted forest in Goiás with the three specific genera is 115.094,65 hectares. There is, however, a deficit in forestry resources, a delay in terms of wood and energy needs, a fact that can be confirmed in contact with industries.

Assim, o objetivo do trabalho foi identificar e quantificar a área de florestas plantadas com Eucalyptus spp., Khaya spp. e Hevea spp. por meio de classificação supervisionada de imagens Sentinel-2A datadas entre 02 e 22 de agosto de 2021. O supervisionamento da classificação resultou na amostragem de 820 polígonos, estes diferenciados em nove classes de uso e cobertura do solo. A exatidão global do modelo Random Forest foi de 96,11%, além de índice Kappa de 95,26%. Para cálculo de área, encontrou-se uma predominância de plantios de Eucalyptus spp. (90.583 ha), mas também uma parcela bastante significativa de indivíduos de Hevea spp. (23.213 ha). Plantios de Khaya spp. ainda são a minoria no estado. A área total encontrada de floresta plantada em Goiás com os três gêneros específicos é de 115.094,65 hectares.
