Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate the markers of nutritional and health status and cardiorespiratory fitness of futsal referees in the State of Goiás. A descriptive cross-sectional study of a quantitative nature was carried out with 22 male Futsal referees, registered and FGFS affiliates, active, aged between 20 and 50 years. Physiological changes that could constitute a risk during the cardiopulmonary test were considered as exclusion criteria, such as decompensated hypertension and high resting heart rate. Anthropometric measurements (body mass index, waist and hip circumferences and waist-to-hip ratio) and body composition (fat and fat-free mass, body water and phase angle), lipid profile and blood pressure tests, in addition to of food consumption and cardiorespiratory fitness by direct and indirect methods. Data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software. The results showed that most futsal referees were overweight and obese, 13.5% with increased waist circumference, about 40.9% with high waist-to-hip ratio. Body composition data indicated that 13.6% had high fat, 63.6% had a phase angle below adequate and 22.7% had mild hypertension on the day of the test. As for food consumption, 22.7% consumed insufficient amounts of carbohydrate and 72.7% excess lipids. The results of biochemical markers of nutritional status showed that 63.6% of the futsal referees had low HDL, while 13.6% and 4.5% of them had high triglyceride and total cholesterol, respectively. There was no difference in VO2max obtained by the direct and indirect methods (p=0.421) and the correlation coefficient between the methods was 0.702 (p<0.001). The association results showed that the VO2max obtained by the direct method was considered more predictive of cardiovascular risk than the indirect method. The results made it possible to conclude that a portion of the futsal referees in Goiás presented anthropometric, body composition and biochemical parameters indicative of cardiovascular risk; food consumption of carbohydrates and lipids was considered inadequate, and, through VO2max, it was possible to identify that some had regular physical fitness, which can further compromise their health, especially cardiovascular, and thus compromise in the future the activity of refereeing.

Submitted by Marlene Santos (marlene.bc.ufg@gmail.com) on 2021-09-30T13:48:39Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertação - Marcus Vinicius Tondato - 2021.pdf: 2333997 bytes, checksum: 3741236cc4e25d00735d1032da1c47ac (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Luciana Ferreira (lucgeral@gmail.com) on 2021-10-01T12:17:52Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertação - Marcus Vinicius Tondato - 2021.pdf: 2333997 bytes, checksum: 3741236cc4e25d00735d1032da1c47ac (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-10-01T12:17:52Z (GMT).
