Resumo: | This study aimed to analyze the scientific production on climbing and mountaineering in Brazilian Physical Education. To achieve this, an integrative systematic review was conducted based on theses, dissertations, and scientific articles. Data collection took place between March and July 2024 in the following sources: Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, CAPES Theses and Dissertations Catalog, and 39 scientific journals in the field. Only original, open-access studies published in Portuguese, English, or Spanish were included, with no time restrictions, due to the lack of previous systematic reviews on the subject. The analysis of 43 articles, 15 dissertations, and 5 theses indicated that climbing and mountaineering represent an expanding object of study in Physical Education, marked by thematic and methodological diversity. The studies covered topics ranging from technical and physiological aspects related to high performance to symbolic, pedagogical, environmental, and sociocultural dimensions, highlighting the complexity and multiplicity of approaches shaping this phenomenon. The predominance of research in the Southeast region revealed the need to decentralize scientific production and to foster the development of these practices in other regions with sporting, ecotourism, and pedagogical potential. |

Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática integradora basada en tesis, disertaciones y artículos científicos. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo entre marzo y julio de 2024 en las siguientes fuentes: Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertaciones, Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Nivel Superior y en 39 revistas científicas del área. Solo se incluyeron investigaciones originales, de acceso abierto, publicadas en portugués, inglés o español, sin delimitación temporal, dada la inexistencia de revisiones sistemáticas previas sobre el tema. El análisis de 43 artículos, 15 disertaciones y 5 tesis indicó que la escalada y el montañismo constituyen un objeto de estudio en expansión dentro de la Educación Física, caracterizado por una diversidad temática y metodológica. Los estudios abarcaron desde aspectos técnicos y fisiológicos relacionados con el alto rendimiento hasta dimensiones simbólicas, pedagógicas, ambientales y socioculturales, evidenciando la complejidad y la multiplicidad de enfoques que estructuran este fenómeno. La predominancia de investigaciones en la región sudeste señaló la necesidad de descentralizar la producción científica y fomentar el desarrollo de estas prácticas en otras regiones con potencial deportivo, ecoturístico y pedagógico.O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a produção científica sobre escalada e montanhismo na Educação Física brasileira. Foram incluídas apenas pesquisas originais, de acesso aberto, publicadas em português, inglês ou espanhol, sem delimitação temporal, dada a inexistência de revisões sistemáticas anteriores sobre o tema. A análise de 43 artigos, 15 dissertações e 5 teses indicou que a escalada e o montanhismo configuram um objeto de estudo em expansão na Educação Física, marcado por diversidade temática e metodológica. Os estudos abrangeram desde aspectos técnicos e fisiológicos vinculados ao alto rendimento até dimensões simbólicas, pedagógicas, ambientais e socioculturais, evidenciando a complexidade e a multiplicidade de abordagens que estruturam esse fenômeno.
