Resumo: This dissertation presents the study of a dramatic period in Brazil with the spread of the COVI-19 Virus, between the years 2020 and 2023. In those years, the Federal Government did not conceive of the pandemic with the concrete risks of deaths to the population Brazilian and around the world. It is noteworthy that there was an omission in the planning to contain the pandemic and the dissipation of denialist conceptions and questions about the effectiveness of the vaccine. That said, this is the context in which the research was dedicated, with the aim of presenting historical aspects of the period of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and in Dourados, with emphasis on protocols and measures to contain the transmission of the disease. Another objective is to demonstrate the Map of Violence against women and the rates of feminicide in Brazil and in the state of MS. To achieve these objectives, bibliographic materials were used and works by researchers/references in the study of violence against women were analyzed, some of them being: Wânia Pasinato, Fernanda Vasconcelos Bestetti, Lourdes Maria Bandeira, Nancy Fraser, Heleieth Saffioti. Statistical data were collected in the Brazilian Public Security Yearbook, as well as other information provided by the State Public Security Secretariats and the Civil, Military and Federal Police, and also the analysis of the Gender Violence Map in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul . It is concluded that the Pandemic was a period of widespread suffering for the population, and women were the most affected by work overload, as they were in jobs directly linked to disease control and care for infected people in hospitals and in private space, and experienced the intensification of violence against them, mainly within their homes. Femicide also increased in the same period, showing us how patriarchy and male domination are rooted in the social structure.
