This study aimed to disseminate syncretism about the plants that make up the shed, presenting its cosmovision, and bring visibility to Afro-descendant communities, whose religious cultural practice of the African Matrix is Candomblé, within the municipality of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul (MS). We obtained, through data collection presented by our dear interlocutors, Iyá Solange and Bàbá Robson, the forms of manifestation of plants and their performance within rituals, their purpose in ceremonies, the socio-environmental worldview of the people of the African Matrix, and the plants that make up the shed, as well as the advances and confrontations of following Candomblé, the study extends to ways of combating structural racism in society with education and culture, as an action tool to combat religious racism. The methodology applied was in the collection of oral historical narrative, through dialogue about the reflections launched. Thus, the diversity and knowledge of the community of African Matrix, has its power, a gift when given the opportunity, to be an apprentice of life, and of ancestral medicine, with this, we flow to knowledge about the strength of plants within ritualistics, its symbology and cosmology, delving into these layers to access the ethnobotanical language of this traditional ancestral community.
