Resumo: A fruit of high nutritional value and economic, which is being incorporated into the planting of small fruits is Physalis peruviana L., which is gradually being disseminated in the international market, mainly for its flavor and its medicinal properties, which makes it very attractive for the market and marketing. The sampling point is considered important factor throughout the agricultural process, and determining the best time to harvest the Physalis peruviana. allows maximum use post-harvest featuring better quality and minimal losses. In addition, studies the anatomy of vegetative organs become important, the agronomic point of view, providing information of anatomical structures present and therefore can adopt cultural practices. The objective were to determine and correlate the main features provided by fruits and seeds of Physalis peruviana, chemically characterize fruit grown in the greenhouse, identify the optimal maturation stage for harvesting the fruits, the main study phases related to fruit production, estimating their productivity in the region of Lavras-MG, check the booking type that occurs in seeds of Physalis peruviana anatomically and to characterize the vegetative organs. It is concluded that the Physalis peruviana grown in a greenhouse has good physical and chemical characteristics, enabling their economic exploitation. The Physalis peruviana should be harvested when the cup is green and yellow in the stadium. In these phases the fruits have larger diameters and larger accumulations of total soluble solids. It is possible to produce Physalis peruviana in a greenhouse in Lavras-MG. The fruit harvest starts 100 days after transplanting the seedlings. The temperature influences the harvesting of the fruits. The crop cycle of Physalis peruviana, sowing by the end of the harvest is approximately 9 months. The seeds of Physalis peruviana presents fat stores. They also found large amounts of multiseriate and uniseriate trichomes on the stem and leaves. The exposure of the plant to the eastern and western promotes greater thickness of the midrib and leaf blade. The stomata are of type anomocytic, being limited to the abaxial surface of the sheet, and is therefore classified as hypostomatic.
