Marandu, Pueraria phaseoloides e Calopogonium mucunoides, conduziu-se um experimento inteiramente casualizado com quatro repetições. A gramínea foi submetida a um esquema fatorial 3 x 5, sendo três idades de corte (28, 56 e 84 dias) e cinco doses de P (20, 200, 400, 600 e 800 mg/dm3) e as leguminosas a um esquema fatorial 2 x 5, sendo duas idades de corte (60 e 90 dias) e cinco doses de P (100, 200, 400, 600 e 800 mg/dm3 de P). Foram confeccionadas e fotomicrografadas lâminas de folhas e caules e os tecidos foram mensurados com o uso do software ImageTool. Determinou-se a produção de matéria seca (MS) e os teores de proteína bruta (PB), fibra em detergente neutro (FDN), fibra em detergente ácido (FDA), lignina, a digestibilidade in vitro da matéria seca (DIVMS) e as concentrações P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Mn e Zn. As doses de P e as idades de corte proporcionaram incrementos na produção de MS, teores de P e redução na DIVMS e PB em todas as espécies. Na B. brizantha houve aumento nas áreas do esclerênquima (ESC) e metaxilema (MET) e redução da espessura do mesofilo (MES) nas folhas, e nos caules, na distância entre feixes, e entre epiderme e ESC, e na espessura de ESC. As correlações foram positivas entre o MET e FDA; MES, células buliformes e bainha parenquimática dos feixes com a DIVMS e PB; e negativas entre floema, MET e ESC e PB. Nos caules houve correlação negativa do diâmetro do caule, ESC e área do feixe vascular com PB, e de distância entre feixes com DIVMS; e correlação positiva entre diâmetro do caule, distância entre feixes e ESC com FDA. Em C. mucunoides houve aumento na espessura da epiderme abaxial, do ESC e do MES da folha, e no caule houve aumento na espessura do ESC, epiderme e distância epiderme e ESC; redução nos teores de K e Cu e correlação positiva entre FDN, FDA com espessura da epiderme abaxial e da FDA com a distância entre epiderme e ESC. A P. phaseoloides apresentou correlação positiva entre FDN e esclerênquima e entre epiderme abaxial da nervura central da folha e a DIVMS. Nos caules houve aumento na espessura da epiderme e na distância entre epiderme e ESC. Ocorreram correlações positivas entre diâmetro do caule e distância entre epiderme e ESC com a FDN e a FDA.To evaluate the effects of P and cutting age in the anatomy and nutritive value of leaves and stems of Brachiaria brizantha Stapf cv. Marandu Pueraria phaseoloides and Calopogonium mucunoides, were conducted a trial with completely randomized design with four replications. The grass was subjected to a 3 x 5 factorial scheme, three cutting ages (28, 56 and 84 days) and five P rates (20, 200, 400, 600 and 800 mg/dm3) and the legumes a 2 x 5 factorial, with two cutting ages (60 and 90 days) and five P rates (100, 200, 400, 600 and 800 mg/dm3 P). Were made and photomicrographed blades of leaves and stems and tissues were measured using the software ImageTool. Determined to dry matter production, crude protein level (CP), levels of neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), lignin, in vitro dry matter (IVDMD) and P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Mn and Zn concentrations. The P and cutting ages provided increments in DM, P and reduction in IVDMD and CP in all species. In B. brizantha increased in the areas of sclerenchyma (SCL) and metaxylem (MET) and reduced the thickness of the mesophyll (MES) in the leaves and stems, the distance between bundle sheath and between the epidermis and SCL, and thickness of SCL. Correlations were positive between the MET and ADF; MES, bulliform cells and bundle sheath cells with IVDMD and CP, and negative associations between phloem, MET and SCL and CP. Negative correlation was observed in stems of stem diameter, SCL and the vascular area with CP, and IVDMD with distance between beams, and a positive correlation between stem diameter, distance between beams and SCL with the FDA. In C. mucunoides increased thickness of the lower epidermis, SCL and MES of the leaf and stem increased the thickness of the SCL, the epidermis and epidermis and SCL distance, the reduction of K and Cu and a positive correlation between NDF, with thickness the lower epidermis and the FDA to the distance between the epidermis and SCL. The P. phaseoloides showed positive correlation between NDF and sclerenchyma and between the abaxial midrib of the leaf and IVDMD. In shoots was no increase in epidermal thickness and the distance between the epidermis and ESC.
