Os experimentos foram conduzidos no Laboratório do EcoCentro/CTSM-EPAMIG, Lavras, MG, em câmaras climatizadas a 22; 25 e 28±1oC, 70% de UR e fotofase de 12 horas. O delineamento experimental para o estudo dos aspectos biológicos e capacidade predatória foi inteiramente casualizado, com três tratamentos representados pelas temperaturas, utilizando-se 40 larvas por tratamento. Para a resposta funcional, os tratamentos foram representados pelas cinco densidades de ninfas do pulgão com 10 repetições. Verificou-se redução no tempo mediano de vida dos ínstares, das fases de pré-pupa e pupa, em função do aumento da temperatura. A faixa de temperatura de 22 a 28oC mostrou-se ideal para o desenvolvimento dessa espécie de crisopídeo, porém, as maiores viabilidades, para as fases de larva, pré-pupa e pupa, e para o período de larva a adulto, foram obtidas na temperatura de 22oC. O consumo médio diário e total de pulgões por larvas de C. cubana aumentou, a cada ínstar, em todas as temperaturas. Para larvas de primeiro ínstar, não houve diferença significativa no consumo médio diário nas três temperaturas. Para larvas de segundo e terceiro ínstares, houve maior consumo diário de pulgões na maior temperatura. O número médio total de afídeos consumido por larvas de primeiro e segundo ínstares não diferiu em função do aumento da temperatura. Para larvas de terceiro ínstar, o maior consumo total foi observado a 22oC, e o menor consumo a 25oC. A menor temperatura proporcionou o maior consumo médio total da fase larval. A resposta funcional para larvas de C. cubana foi do Tipo II, em forma de ascensão linear. O tempo de busca não diferiu em função do estádio do predador, enquanto que o tempo de manuseio diminuiu progressivamente com o desenvolvimento da larva, sendo maior para aquelas do primeiro ínstar.Evaluating some biological aspects, the predatory capacity at three temperatures and the functional responses of larvae of Ceraeochrysa cubana (Hagen) fed third and fourth instar nymphs of Aphis gossypii Glover was sought. The experiments were conducted in the Laboratory of the EcoCentro/CTSM-EPAMIG, Lavras, MG, in climatic chambers at 22; 25 and 28±1oC, 70% of RH and 12-hour photophase. The experimental design for the study of the biological aspects and predatory capacity was completely randomized with three treatments represented by the temperatures by utilizing 40 larvae per treatment. For the functional response, the treatments were represented by the five densities of aphid nymphs with 10 replicates. A reduction in the median lifetime time of the instars of the stages of pre-pupa and pupa was found as related with the increase of temperature. The range of temperature of 22 to 28oC proved ideal for the development of these green lacewings; however the highest survivals, for the stages of larva, pre-pupa and pupa and for the period of larva to adult, were obtained in the temperature of 22oC. The daily average and total consumption of aphids by larvae of C. cubana increased in each instar at all the temperatures. For larvae of first instar, there were no significant differences in the daily average consumption of aphids at the three temperatures. For second and third instar larvae, there was higher consumption of aphids at the highest temperature. The total average number of aphids consumed by first and second instar larvae did not differ as related with the increase of temperature. For third instar larvae, the greatest total consumption total was observed at 22oC, and the lowest consumption at 25oC. The lowest temperature enabled the highest total average consumption of the larval stage. The functional response for larvae of C. cubana was of Type II in the shape of linear rise.
