Resumo: This dissertation, based on an ethnographic approach, seeks to investigate the elements of musicality that comprise the performance practices of Mestre Leonardo's Tambor de Crioula, based on observations made during rodas held in the city of São Luís, Maranhão, during the 2024 June Festival. The main focus was to analyze the performances of three coreiras, exploring the relationship between Musicality, based on Gerard Kubik's Temporal Orientations, and Kwabena Nketia's Choreographic Contrasts, situated within the realm of Corporeality in different performance contexts. Furthermore, the interaction of these coreiras with the spectators and their life stories in relation to the performances they watched was investigated. The exhibitions presented in this research address themes such as Tambor de Crioula, memory, orality, ancestry, and other Afro-Brazilian civilizing values ​​that permeate this cultural manifestation.

O foco principal recaiu sobre a análise da performance de três coreiras, explorando a relação entre a Musicalidade, a partir das Orientações Temporais de Gerard Kubik, e dos Contrastes Coreográficos de Kwabena Nketia, situada no âmbito da Corporeidade em diferentes contextos de apresentação. Além disso, foi investigada a interação dessas coreiras com os espectadores e suas histórias de vida em relação às performances visualizadas.
