Introduction: The phenomenon of population ageing has demanded the development of new roles, especially for more active older people who wish to develop future projects and keep up with technological changes. In light of this, academic research and niche markets are investing in studies and strategies to enable the inclusion of this age group in the technological world. New technologies need to promote collective evolution and the valorization of individual freedom in equal measure, overcoming the tension between tradition and modernity in the context of the lifelong learning process. Objective: Build and validate the mobile application prototype to health promotion of elderly person living in São Luís-MA. Methodology: This is a methodological study of construction and validation of a mobile application prototype to health promotion of elderly person, well as the contente contained therein. Experts with experience in creating, validation and using technological tools aimed at elderly health care participated in this research. The CVI was considered acceptable with a minimum rate of 0.80 for adequacy of clarity, structure, appearance and relevance and p- value > 0.05. Results: The GerontoApp mobile application prototype were evaluated by six experts. They were, in general, female, aged between 33 and 40 years old, working in care assistance and teaching, with a doctorate degree. Nine domains were evaluated: objective, structure/presentation, relevance, content, language, graphic illustrations, layout/typography, motivation and cultural suitability. Only two domains did not present a satisfactory CVI: content and layout/typography (CVI=0.73), requiring corrections. The general CVI of the prototype presented a satisfactory value (>0.8) and the p-value of all evaluated items presented an expected value (>0.05), demonstrating agreement between the experts' responses. Conclusion: The development of the GerontoApp represents a significant advance in the integration of mobile technology into health care for the elderly, offering a tool that can contribute substantially to improving the quality of life of this population. However, there are still challenges to be overcome to ensure that the design is fully intuitive and accessible in order to promote the digital inclusion of the elderly.
