Resumo: A lot of discussion about anthropogenic contributions to the temperature increase in the earth s surface and possible consequences for physical, chemical and biological processes. Formation of cities, deforestation burning of fossil fuels and the presence of industries are cited as examples of situations that may contribute to the increased heat. The region Barcarena-PA is an area with a significant proportion of vegetation cover, but has industrial complex, which concentrates the largest alumina refinery in the world and other industries of the aluminum cycle, which may represent an increase in temperature for the region. To investigate whether the contribution is significant were analyzed Landsat satellite images by applying SEBAL algorithm for surface temperature mapping and radiation balance that surrounds the industrial complex.

Formação de cidades, desmatamento, queima de combustíveis fósseis e a presença de indústrias são apontadas como exemplos de situações que podem contribuir para o aumento de calor. A região de Barcarena-PA é uma área com grande parte constituída por cobertura vegetal, porém conta com complexo industrial, onde se concentram a maior refinaria de alumina do mundo e outras indústrias do ciclo do alumínio, que podem representar aumento de temperatura para a região.
