Konstantin Stanislavski has been a reference in Brazil on the process of creating a role in the actors work since 1950s. The theme of this given thesis is the roles creation. Due to Stanislavskis influence, the topic was approached based on his theoretical-practical perspectives, nevertheless, the perspectives of the current British director, Declan Donnellan, who has been developing a methodology for actors unblocking, were also addressed. The investigation arose from the question: Which are the strategies that can assist the process of creating a role for a blocked actor? In order to identify and propose strategies, based on Stanislavski and Declan Donnellan, to assist a blocked actor in the process of creating a role, literary review, registers study and an interview were performed. The literary review comprised a bibliographic review about Konstantin Stanislavski and Declan Donnellan. The registers study was realized with the analysis of directors personal notebooks on the creative process of the play Lady Macbeth, developed with the practice of Stanislavskis and Donnellans principles and strategies. The interview was done with the actors of the creative process cited. Based on the data obtained, the common ideas and diverging ones among Stanislavskis and Donnellans proposals were analyzed. We present, as the result, the use of the principles of the two directors as complementary strategies for a practical process of roles creation, which allow the amplification of the actors creative possibilities and offer resources for the actors unblocking.
