Resumo: In this thesis, we seek to reflect on musical creation in light of the bakhtinian dialogism. We attempt to discuss the concept of musical utterance as a unit of communication. According to Bakhtin's proposals, we argue that utterances, in Music, are in a dialogical relationship. We rely on the composers' sayings to verify that musical creations is wrapped in a network that unites them. Taking into account the three cocnepts of dialogism - constitutive, disclosed and among subjects -, we examine how a musical piece can be approached from these perspectives. We reworked the idea of discursive-musical polyphony, taking into account the specificity with wich Bakhtin approaches the term polyphony in his analysis of romance. Finally, we point out, in works of our authorship, aspects of the dialogical dimension in compositional activity.
