Resumo: | The main goal of this thesis was to investigate the potentiality of using the method proposed by Grounded Theory (GT or TFD, in Portuguese), combined with the exercise of symbolic interpretation proposed by the Clinical Approach to Information (CAI or ACI, in Portuguese), in the construction of a methodological strategy applicable to the field of Information Science (ISc or CI, in Portuguese) in general and, more specifically in investigations regarding the sharing of scientific knowledge. In practical terms, based on the application of this strategy, it was sought to build a broad reading, according to the perceptions of masters and doctoral students from two postgraduate programs of different epistemological orientations, on knowledge sharing practices exercised by them during the development of strict sensu research. It was believed, therefore, that from that background, it would be possible, simultaneously to test a new methodological proposal, to contemplate a privileged view of a cut of the multiplicity of trends in the ISc area, of its reflexes and of its contributions to the area of Knowledge Management based on what is practiced at the heart of these programs. In this sense, the following question led the research: “Will the combined use of GT with the symbolic interpretation proposed by CAI, will allow to reach an in-depth reading of the complexities surrounding the knowledge sharing practices that occur during the development of strict sensu research in Science of Information and of the imagetic representations that the students developed about the field due to their different epistemological orientations?” Specifically, it was proposed to investigate the understanding, affections and representations that researchers in training have on the concepts of Information Science and knowledge sharing practices; furthermore describe, according to the interviewees' perceptions, how knowledge sharing practices relate to the construction of knowledge during the development of their research; to identify if knowledge sharing practices are influenced by the representations that students have developed about the field as a result of their different epistemological orientations; and, finally, to establish an analysis of the contributions that the combined use of GT with the symbolic interpretation proposed by the CAI offer for the improvement of the methodological strategies for the investigation of the scientific knowledge sharing. The universe of research is the master's and doctoral students of two postgraduate courses in Information Science - from a federal public university. To achieve the objectives, the qualitative methodology was used through interviews with a semistructured script. The method used to select the interviewees was through nonprobabilistic random sampling and the research is supported by Grounded Theory (TFD) - chosen because this perspective has the potential to not only allow the compilation and analysis of the data as a result research, but, based on these results, extrapolate them in the construction of a theoretical proposal - and in the Clinical Information Approach (ACI), which offers an alternative for access to symbolic and affective content involved in infocommunicational interactions. The literature review covers the themes: Information Science, construction of scientific knowledge, knowledge sharing, as well as studies on the affectivity and emotions intrinsic to the knowledge sharing process. These contents were chosen because of their relevance in offering guiding elements that made it possible to scrutinize the research results. The analysis of the imagetic representations (built on theoretical, historical, social and cultural bases) that the students have in their own area, as well as the relationships built during the master's and doctorate and that became the basis for the knowledge sharing practices in these two strict sensu graduate programs in CI allowed, as a result, the creation of a mirror of a typological collection that pointed out interesting guidelines for knowledge sharing for other programs in this area. The representations, relationships and other elements such as the categories established in this thesis evidenced, in the context of Information Science, the perceptions of students about the area and, by demonstrating how mediations occur in knowledge sharing practices during the construction of research, they indicated a range of possibilities to improve these practices within the programs. The combined use of CAI and GT suggested the design of a on Psychosociological Data Grounded Theory (PDTG or TFDP, in Portuguese) as a strategy to capture the interviewees' intersubjectivity considering the affective, social, cultural and historical context of infocommunicational phenomena and their complexities. |

The main goal of this thesis was to investigate the potentiality of using the method proposed by Grounded Theory (GT or TFD, in Portuguese), combined with the exercise of symbolic interpretation proposed by the Clinical Approach to Information (CAI or ACI, in Portuguese), in the construction of a methodological strategy applicable to the field of Information Science (ISc or CI, in Portuguese) in general and, more specifically in investigations regarding the sharing of scientific knowledge. |
