Civil construction plays a critical role in Brazil’s economic development and sustainability, however it’s impact over social and inviremental aspects must be controlled and addressed. The correct management of construction and demolition waste is crucial to minimize one of the main impacts of the sector's activities. Small construction and demolition waste generators are responsible for a significant parcel of waste disposed in irregular places. According to current national regulations, municipalities share a responsibility with these actors to promote it’s correct destination. This research aims to propose new ways to improve on current compliences, further enchancing guidelines established for the management of construction and demolition waste in Brazil. Bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, in order to identify actions and strategies taken abrod that are relevant and might contribute to Brazil’s current aproach over the matter. Programs and proposals of the state’s capitals and the Federal District were also analyzed, presenting a wide understading along with valible analitical clarifications on said practices. In sume, Brazilian cities are found at different stages regarding construction and demolition waste’s regulations and compliances. Therefore, actions were proposed to maximize and sucecefully achieve a better sustainable waste managemanet protocol. In conclusion, disparity between the municipal initiatives and the proposed actions may be applied totally or partialy, in order to achieve better results of it’s sustainable measures. Furthermore federal and state governments must continue to encourage best practices through policies and regulations.
