Resumo: Industrial processes generate waste such as sludge from tannery "clean technology" that can be used in agriculture, to increase the productivity and supply of nutrients to the soilplant system. On this basis it was aimed to assess the feasibility of using primary sludge from a tannery in “clean technology” in the fertilization of pasture grasses and forage legumes under controlled conditions and field. The experiment was installed in EMBRAPA (CNPGC), Campo Grande-MS, the research was developed with two experiments, the first in a greenhouse where three species were evaluated (Brachiaria brizantha cv. marandu, Panicum maximum cv. Monbaça and Stylosanthes guyanensis cv. Mineirão) and second, the field, located in pasture of Brachiaria brizantha cv. marandu. Both experiments were assembled in a randomized block design, being in experiment in a greenhouse with application of 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2% of tannery sludge, and the experiment field was applied dose of 0, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2% of tannery sludge and an additional treatment with mineral fertilizer. The results were different between the greenhouse and field. But both noted that the sludge can be used in soil monitoring conducted since the attributes of soil and plant. The results show that application of tannery sludge in the soil, is this viable alternative for exploration the your agricultural potential and to contribution for solution the two problems: fertilization the pasture and disposition the industrial residue. The results display also the over the requirement research of residue in performance your composition and action in the soils.
